Ben is the Director of Moving Conflicts (www.movingconflicts.org) and UK and European representative of Combatants for Peace. He is a Conflict transformation specialist, Coach and Consultant. Ben is a State registered Drama Therapist, facilitator of personal and group process, A Movement Medicine Facilitator and Teacher, Theatre Director/ Film maker and change agent.
He is an ex-combatant, serving in the Israeli army as a paratrooper in the first Lebanon war (83-86). And in 2007 he joined CfP in 2007 and for 6 years acted as the movements lead on building inner resilience and sustainability.
Over the last 25 years Ben has been involved in working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages offering them tailored, creative and therapeutic interventions. He has worked with people for whom the notion of change is vitally needed and yet very far from possible in their eyes. People with drug and alcohol addictions homeless people, people with mental health issues, families under severe stress, offenders, fathers, men and boys. In these therapeutic interventions He utilizes creative writing, performance, film and Drama therapy as the means for opening the gateways for change. He is fascinated and inspired by our active participation in designing our own narratives and our potential to change them.
Ben is a Father of three and a Grandfather of one and lives with his partner in Totnes South Devon, England.
